The better-sound tuning
With everything a Pi does, data moves back and forth inside the computer. It uses its processor, its memory, its SD card, and it talks to the DAC. All of that traffic is, in reality, small electrical currents, and with them small amounts of noise. How the software is set up decides how large those currents are and in what rhythm they run.
Tyto comes with tuned profiles that tame the streamer so those currents are as favourable as possible. The idea is that the clocks, and in the end the DAC, can do their work better.
We put great effort into our tuning profiles, using a special measurement bench. No guessing.
Try before you buy
Every download starts with the sound tuning switched on. The clock only runs while music plays, so an evening a day gives you about a week to listen, compare, and make up your mind.
